About
Adam Said Awad, a native of California's Central Valley and a first-generation law school graduate, brings a wealth of experience and dedication to Sawl Law Group. Adam graduated with honors in Pre-Law from Fresno Pacific University, where he also captained the Men’s Cross Country and Track Teams. During his undergraduate years, Adam demonstrated leadership beyond athletics as the president and founder of the Real United Nations Delegation, successfully leading a team to compete at the prestigious Harvard National Model U.N. Competition.
Adam’s journey into Criminal Law began early as an intern at the Fresno County Public Defender’s Office at just 21 years old. During his internship, he contributed to complex and high-profile cases, including a gang-related double homicide and a Sexually Violent Predator Trial. He gained extensive firsthand experience in case research, investigations, and trial preparations.
While earning his Juris Doctorate from San Joaquin College of Law, Adam further honed his legal skills as a certified law clerk with several criminal defense firms in the Central Valley. In this role, he successfully drafted and argued numerous sentencing and suppression motions before the Fresno County Superior Court, achieving favorable outcomes for clients.
Following graduation, Adam continued to excel as a post-bar clerk for a prominent Central California defense attorney. He played a key role in preparing federal motions during the pandemic, including compassionate release applications for at-risk inmates. In the Fall of 2020, Adam obtained his Provisional License to practice law in California and worked with Fitzgerald, Alvarez, and Ciummo in Madera County. There, he managed hundreds of misdemeanor and felony cases, conducted nearly 100 preliminary hearings, and achieved numerous dismissals and charge reductions.
Adam’s dedication to his clients is evident in his comprehensive experience, which spans bench trials, felony reductions, and appellate work. Adam is committed to providing vigorous, knowledgeable, and empathetic representation for every client he serves.
